Kiosk Interface Configurations
1. Open the Kiosk Editor
In the Kiosk Manager, find the Kiosk you want to configure and click EDIT. This opens the Kiosk Editor, where you can customise the Kiosk’s interface and display options.

2. Set Kiosk Name (Required)
MazeMap supports providing a Kiosk name which is used to be able to identify a Kiosk in the Kiosk Manager as well as in analytics. Use a name that helps identify the location of the Kiosk, such as, Building | Floor | Point of Interest | Location.

3. Set the Kiosk Language (Optional)
MazeMap supports several languages for the Kiosk interface, including Norwegian, Swedish, German, and Finnish.

4. Set or Update the Initial Map View (Required)
The “Initial Map View” is the default map position that the Kiosk returns on load and refresh. Adjusting this view allows you to set the ideal zoom level, center point, and orientation for users.

5. Place or Move the “You Are Here” Marker (Required)
The “You Are Here” marker indicates the physical location of the Kiosk. This marker is used as the starting point for all routes generated from the Kiosk.

6. Add WebApp Config Tag (MazeMap Only)
At present, the WebApp config tag can only be set by MazeMap Support.
This WebApp Config determines which configuration is used for the Kiosk and when sharing a route by generating a QR code that users can scan to access maps on their devices.

7. Disable Short Links (Optional)
Enabled by Default
MazeMap provides short links for QR codes, but you can disable them to use the full URL in QR codes instead. This may make the QR code denser but shows the complete URL to users.

8. Enable 3D Maps (Optional)

Enabling 3D rendering provides a more realistic map view with building walls, 3D extrusions, and any 3D assets included on your map.

10. Layout Orientation and Accessibility Button (Required)
MazeMap supports both Portrait and Landscape orientations for the Kiosk, allowing you to tailor the display for different screen setups.

11. Enable the On-Screen Keyboard (Optional)
Disabled by default.
MazeMap provides an on-screen keyboard for text input when users click the search box. Important: If you enable this, ensure the device’s own on-screen keyboard is disabled to prevent conflicts (e.g., in Windows 10, enable Touch Mode and disable the system keyboard).
