When QA’ing the maps, there are two three primary things to look at:

  1. The polygon shapes

  2. Room ID and

  3. Room data

This page helps you get started on the QA process and outlines in which cases an error needs to be solved by you/the customer or by MazeMap.

Info

If there’s an incorrect polygon, please make sure that the CAD file is indeed correct. If the drawing is correct, please submit a QA ticket with a description of the issue (see below).

If the drawing is incorrect, please fix it and submit a QA ticket with the updated drawing attached and a description of the issue.

2. Room ID

...

As indicated in the How to Prepare a CAD file for import into MazeMap Admin Tool document, there must be a unique room ID for each polygon in a drawing.

...

  • If there's incorrect data under POI names, check if the "Floor plan parsed" name (room ID) is correct. Hover the mouse over the POI names to see which one is the name that comes from the floor plan room ID.

...

  • If the "Floor plan parsed" name is missing or incorrect, check if the room ID in the CAD file for this room is missing or incorrect.

    • If it is incorrect or missing, please fix the CAD file and attach it to a QA support ticket.

3. Room Data

  • If the "Floor plan parsed" name/room ID is correct, please check the other POI names that come from the POI list. Hover the mouse over the POI names to locate the names from “Excel data”.
