This user guide gives an overview on how the new directions in MazeMap work. The directions include basic navigation within a campus in addition to navigation to/from a campus using bicycle, car or public transit.

Info
titleNavigation v. Positioning

MazeMap offers navigation independent of the Indoor Positioning System (IPS) installed in the campus you are exploring.   Basically it is routing between A to B or the Point of Origin and a Point of Destination. There are predetermined routes between any given two points that are automatically created by our routing algorithm based on doors and thresholds surrounding these said points.  These routes are not necessarily the most optimal routes unless the customer (the vertical) has made thorough quality assurance of the possible path scenarios in their campus.  "Blue Dot Navigation" is a special service independent of our basic routing and is dependent on the chosen IPS provider and set up of the customer and takes in the factor of time and movement of the device in relation to the location.  To learn more, please contact support@mazemap.com

Step 3:

The path will be shown in the map as a blue line. It turns grey to illustrate that you will need to go to a different floor. You will also get some simple instructions in the menu. Customers that have the option Navigation fro for blind also will get the blue button "Instructions" located at the bottom of the menu. Press this button to get detailed directions.

It is possible to chose your preferred way of getting from A to B, but in this basic example within a campus walking will most likely be the preferred way.
