This document will discuss the following:

• To guide you on how How to import (upload) the list/spreadsheet of your indoor POIs to the Map Editor tool.

• To show you how How to properly tag your the columns in the POI list so the information there room data will be shown correctly in the MazeMap app / use.mazemap.com maps (i.e., putting in POI Title, setting types or categories, giving different searchable names to your POIs etc, in bulk).

• To guide you on how How to make your POIs richer by putting in specific URLs and Descriptions for all your relevant POIs (in bulk) using your POI List

• How to save and publish the changes being made.

Uploading the POI-list

1. In the Map Editor, click Points of Interest menu followed by POI Import.

2. Click the green button shown below to add a new listconfiguration.

3. A dialogue box will appear. Click and download the appropriate template (NB: “Floorplan Label Configuration” for standard POI list using CAD data to match the room data with the room polygons).

Fill it in. Save the said list in on your drive in Excel format. Follow the instructions shown below to upload your list.

4. Click the “Upload File button” and you’ll be directed to your drive to choose a file to uploadlocate the POI list.

5. This screen showing After uploading the POI list the spreadsheet will appear as below. Drag and drop the blue feature (blue) tiles labels to each column header (i.e. , External ID, Floorplan Label or what is commonly called as POI TitleRoom ID in CAD, Type of room (category), Searchable names, Description, URL).

NB: The header “Text shown in map” sets the title of the POI and gets the highest priority (in terms of visibility and searchability) while the header “Type of Room” lets you set or even create the category/type of the POI

While most of the data/information from the other columns go directly to the floorplan configuration, those in the URL and Description columns as shown above, go directly to this POI Information box, thus, turning an ordinary POI into a Rich POI.

Image Added	If room IDs in the CAD files are similar across floor plans/buildings, then the floors need to be identifiable. This is done by setting the POI prefixes the POI import main page. Typically the POI-prefix is the building ID + floor level, and the Floor Prefix label is to applied to column in the POI list that matches this. Image AddedImage Added Note: Some customers may have a preference to how their Floor Prefixes are formatted. Floor Prefixes can affect the campus linkable tags format (which they may be using with their other integrations like timetables, resource booking, library solutions etc.)
Image Added	The room IDs that matches the labels in room polygons in the floor plan CAD file.
Image Added	The POI names. Often this label is connected to the “Room ID” column. You can drag the “Searchable Name” label to multiple columns to make more more names searchable for each POI. Note that the names in one searchable name column will be used as the title of the POI in the POI card (when a POI has been clicked). This column has the highest priority set in the JSON config. Your CSM can help you out with getting the JSON priorities right.
Image Added	The room type / category (e.g. Accessible Toilet, Office, Corridor etc). When applying this label, the room types from the POI list (called “External types”), can be used to set up the POI categories under the menu “Types”. Note: Our system can only operate with one type per POI, so this label should only been applied to one column.
Image Added	The identifiers are the unique location codes for each POI/room. Typically a concatenation of campus ID, building ID and room ID. These are used to set up linkable tags where one part of the URL to a POI stays fixed and just the last part (the identifier) changes: Image Added
Image Added	Description of each POI. Will be included in the POI side-bar. Image Added
Image Added	URLs connected to each POI. If the POI is a café, then one could include a link to the menu.
Image Added	The text that can be clicked to access the URL
Image Added	The maximum number of people allowed in the room.
Image Added	Sensor info, resource booking mailboxes etc. Please liaise with your CSM to set up external references in the POI list.

Import and publish POI data

6. Don’t forget to click “Save changes as new version” on the left side bar, as shown on the screenshot of the spreadsheet abovehere. Then go back you will be directed to the Point of Interest sub-menu, click “Run Update”POI Import menu again, and click “Poi Import data” button on the right button encircled below. Follow the steps below to finish the update.

7. Click “Import POI data”. Image AddedImage Added

A dialogue box would will appear and will show the potential changes when you run a POI import after updating your POI-list. number of POI changes.
If it looks correct then click “Perform POI Import”. Once the POI import is finished the changes from the POI-list should will appear in Map Editor.

8. When you are satisfied with the changes and you are ready to implement them in production, click “Start publish process” for them to go live, click “Publish Changes” button on the top right side of the and all these changes will be visible in the live map (MazeMap app / use.mazemap.com)..
