How do I fill out/edit the Point of Interest List (spreadsheet)?

Note:  Kindly check that the entries are not replicated and are sorted by buildings, floors etc. (for easier reference later)

The following should be the column headers in the Point of Interest (POI) list. (NB not all columns are necessarily needed depending on the setup and the use cases):

A – Campus ID (system-generated)

B – Building ID (system-generated)

-- Floor Level (z-level of the floor).  This is the level of the specific floor in relation to the surface ground, which starts with 1 if on the ground and -1 if on the underground level. This may or may not be the same as the Floor Naming Convention in effect in your country.

D – Floor-Prefix (customer-centric – can be based on the customer's own building code or a  concatenation of building ID and floor level. This is used to identify the correct floor plan in case there are identical room IDs in the same building or across buildings).

E -- Building Name (system-generated)

F -- Room ID in CAD (system-generated -- data from the CAD drawings)

-- Text Visible in the Map (customer-specific - the name of the room that is visible in the map)

-- Type of Room (customer-specific - the room category., eg. toilet, meeting room, study room, pantry etc.)

I – Searchable Name (customer-specific - Names that should be searchable - there can be multiple columns with searchable names).

J – Description (customer-specific - Description of or any additional details about a POI)

K – Identifier (customer-specific - unique location code, can be a concatenation of campus ID, building ID and room ID, can also be a unique alphanumeric code from the customer's timetabling, FMS or ERP system)

L – URL (customer-specific - Add a URL to the POI, will appear in the POI card).

M – URL text (customer-specific - the url text will be clickable and will take the user to the URL destination

N – External references (customer-specific - can be Sensor api, resource booking mailboxes that should be connected to the POI).

O – People Capacity (customer-cspecific - max number of people allowed in the room)

A sample filled out POI List is shown below:

This is now ready for uploading to the Map Editor Tool.

2. Click on the POI list you want to edit (the POI list is active when it has a check mark next to it).

4. Once you have done the desired changes, click the "Save changes as a new version" button.

5. Click the "Go Back" button to return to the POI Import menu. Then, click the "Import POI data" button.

6. A pop up box showing potential POI changes will appear. It will also include warning notifications if there are entries that need to be reviewed. If everything looks fine, click the tick box, then click the "Perform POI Import" button.
