Is it possible to have icons for POIs/rooms in the same category (using types)?

Question:

• Our restrooms do not have any icons. Is it possible to have one icon for female restrooms and one icon for male restrooms?
• Can I have a different icon for public lifts and service lifts?

Answer:

Yes, that is possible. By using the POI types sub-menu, you can change a certain type of room. You can also change the icon of one POI manually, but when you would like to do the same change for several rooms that have the same function, editing the type will be the most efficient way.

• To do that you need to enter the POI Tool by clicking the “Point of interest” button.
  
  
    

• Click on the “POI Types” button
  
  
  
  
• If you have created POI types before they will appear in the menu at your left hand side. If there are no POI types, click here for details on how to create or import types. Click on the type you want to edit. You can now edit the chosen type.
  
  
  
  
• To change the icon; Click the < POI icon > text. Choose the preferred icon from the menu.
  
  
  
  
• To change the title; click the < POI title > text, and write the name you want and press Enter.
  
  
  
  

• When you are finished editing a type, remember to run an update. Click the “Run Update” button on the left hand side, and then the “Start publish process!” button.

   If you replace an old POI type icon with a new one, it might take up to 24 hours for the new one to appear in the maps.
