We want to show the position of the defibrillator in our map. Is that possible, and if so, how do I place it?

  • We want to show the position of the defibrillator in our map. Is that possible, and if so, how do I place it?
    • AED / AED's: Automated External Defibrillator(s)
    • PAD / PAD's: Public Access Defibrillator(s)

Answer:

To do so, you have to create a new POI.

  • Start by clicking “Points Of Interest” in Map Editor.



  • Then click “Create POI”, either in the left hand menu, or click the green button down to you right.



  • Click in the map where you want the defibrillator to be placed. Scroll to zoom in and out.
  • Once you have placed the POI a menu will show to the right. In the menu it is possible to add names, types, icon, color and text.



  • Click the the text <unknown> by “icon” to add the preferred icon from the list.



  • The POI now look like this:



  • When you are happy about the result, remember to save! Click “Run Update” in the left hand menu, and then click the green “Start publish process” button. Then the changes should be visible in the map at use.mazemap.com
